Manager Meghann says:

"I started with Alexandras in 2021 as Deputy Manager in the Truro branch. I had previously worked in the care sector, however, worked with young adults with Autism and behaviours that challenged. Before working in the care industry, I completed my A Levels and then studied Health and Social Care.

In 2022, I became the Manager of Truro. In February 2023, I relocated to the Penryn Branch.

The Penryn branch opened actually opened in April 2018, covering home care in Falmouth and Penryn. We have expanded our surrounding areas to Mylor, Flushing, Constantine, Perranwell and Mawnan Smith.

I and the Penryn Branch are supported by a fantastic team made up of a Deputy, Admin, Team Leaders and Carers.

The Penryn Team offer flexible care packages with visit durations starting at 30 minutes up to 24-hour care. We can provide one or two carers during each visit depending on the support that you require.

Alongside personal care visits, we also offer social visits and can accompany you for a stroll along the sea front, shopping, lunch out or just sit and chat with a cup of coffee! "

CQC Comments:

"Staff were respectful and supported people to be as independent as possible."

Homecare.co.uk review for the Penryn team Jan 2021:

"I have been with Alexandras for nearly a year. The service I have received has been excellent. Your staff always presents themselves very well. From helping me dress and wash. food is prepared and light domestic duties. You are all amazing for taking the time to make me feel happy and cared for. Five stars from me." View on homecare.co.uk.

SUPPORTING TEAM

I've been working for Alexandras for 2 years. In September 2022 I was promoted to Team Leader and in Feb 2023 to Deputy Manager.

I used to work in the care profession and then had a break and went into retail.

When Covid happened I decided that now would be a better time than ever to go back to the caring profession.

I enjoy long walks, learning the guitar, reading and crafting activities.

Kirstin

Deputy Manager
I first started my care career in 2017, working with young people. I
decided to make the move to Alexandras community care in December 2022 to
try something different and absolutely loved it!

Since joining the team I have learnt so much, especially from my
managers and other colleagues. I really enjoy everything about community
care.

I applied for Team leader in May 2023 and was delighted when I was
offered the position! There is always room for progression within the
company and I have felt really supported and encouraged through all
aspects of the role by my managers and my team!

Mollie

Team Leader

I started at Alexandra’s in September and I love the fast pace of the job and the people I work with. I've conquered the London Marathon twice. For 12 years, I dedicated myself as a teaching assistant in a Primary School. I then transitioned into a role as a veterinary receptionist.

At home, my life revolves around my fiancé and two grown-up children where I take pride in cultivating a beautiful garden. Beyond my personal haven, I find joy in life's simple pleasures, often heading to the beach. As a social butterfly, I cherish moments with friends and actively engage in local community events.
