Supporting you or your loved ones with Dementia

One in three people born in the UK will develop dementia in their lifetime (Alzheimer’s Research UK). With that statistic in mind, we pride ourselves on delivering holistic, person-centred care.

Dementia not only has an impact on the person living with the condition but also for their support network around them. It can be hard to know what to do to support the individual with dementia.

We strive to support all involved with the disease and offer hands on help and a listening ear. Living with dementia is not easy. There are many support avenues available which we are able to signpost and support with.

WHAT IS DEMENTIA CARE?

Living with dementia can have a big impact on an individual’s life. We work to understand the exact needs of each individual to provide a bespoke and person-centred care plan to ensure the support is right for them. Within our highly-trained team we have a number of Dementia Champions which have a depth of knowledge of how to support a person living with dementia.

Dementia care can change from day-to-day dependent on how the individual is on that particular day. We understand this and ensure our care plans are inclusive of it. Our care teams are trained in how to support a person with dementia and how their mood can affect the way in which we deliver their care.

How Can We Help

Memory enriching activities

We can support with visits to local memory-enriching activities such as clinics and cafés. We can provide support from ½ hour visits to 24-hour care along with providing respite to the individual's support network.

Assistive technology

Our highly-trained team members are also able to support with assistive technology to make day-to-day living familiar again. We work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure the care given is robust and valuable to the individual's day-to-day life.

WHAT PEOPLE HAVE SAID ABOUT US

"Many thanks to the carers who would come to look after my husband three times a day.
Washing, dressing, helping to get him into bed each night. Lovely chats about sport, travel and food, and making him laugh. They also helped me to understand my husband's dementia and how to cope. - A big thank you to all!"
